Task 2024 – elaboration of a strategy for the development of regional Kazakhstan to overcome territorial differentiation.

1. Development of strategic measures to improve the effectiveness of regional institutions of economic development;
2. development of recommendations on modernization of socio-cultural and economic environment to overcome unjustified territorial differentiation;
3. preparation of a roadmap for overcoming regional disproportions in socio-cultural and economic development of territories;
4. elaboration of comprehensive recommendations on rebooting regional development institutions.

RESULTS 2024

Result 2024 – a strategy for the development of regional Kazakhstan to overcome territorial differentiation is developed.

1. Strategic measures to improve the effectiveness of regional economic development institutions have been developed, aimed at optimizing decision-making processes between local executive authorities and the private sector, strengthening the institutional structure and increasing the transparency of their activities;
2. recommendations on modernizing the socio-cultural and economic environment aimed at overcoming socio-economic disparities in the level and quality of life of the population in the regions, including border areas, regions with a high problem index, as well as territories with a compact population of ethnic minorities;
3. a roadmap for overcoming regional disparities in socio-cultural and economic development of territories, aimed at accelerating the growth of the dynamics of target indicators of regional development and ensuring a sustainable transit of structural and technological transformations focused on the balanced development of problematic territories;
4. a block of recommendations for republican and regional public administration bodies on modernization of socio-cultural and economic environment to overcome unreasonable territorial differentiation in the level of its development is proposed;
5. the conceptual scheme of regional development strategy for overcoming territorial differentiation based on the assessment of socio-cultural and economic environment of the regions of Kazakhstan (from regional to rural level) was developed.
